Welcome to the Silhouette Pomeranian Blog! This site exists to house articles, tips, and other information on the Pomeranian breed as a supplement to our main homepage, Silhouette Pomeranians, which hosts information more specific to my breeding program.
My name is Elizabeth Heckert, and I have been breeding and exhibiting Pomeranians since 2002. My love for the breed goes back to my teenage years when I first fell in love with these darling little dogs just from viewing some photos on the (early) internet!
Today I live in Virginia with my pack of Pomeranians, who now comprise a family that I have carefully selected starting with my foundation bitch (female) Sunterra Sweet Surrender ROMX “Adia” who was born in 2005 and lived to the ripe age of 14 years old.
I value health, temperament, and adherence to the AKC Pomeranian Breed Standard. I prove this through participating in OFA health testing, AKC breed conformation shows, and keeping abreast of known issues in both my breeding program and the breed as a whole, participating in and contributing to research when I can. I have produced over 60 AKC and international champions, many of which were shown by myself.
My goal is to raise happy, healthy puppies who are good example of the breed’s essence in terms of type and temperament. My adults and puppies spend much of their day with me and around me, and I’d not have it any other way.
This blog serves to allow me to post up to date articles and information that might be helpful both to my puppy families as well as anyone else looking for insight into this wonderful breed!
You can learn more by visiting my main website, Silhouette Pomeranians, which has many more photos, pedigrees and other information about my current pack as well as their ancestors!
