In fall of 2005, I brought home 5 month old “Adia”, Sunterra Sweet Surrender ROMX, from the airport in Baltimore. She had arrived by plane from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, from world famous Sunterra Pomeranians. I can’t thank Doug Stratton enough for letting me have this exceptional girl as my foundation bitch. She was a daughter of the reknowned Ch. Tokie The Legend Continues “Dutchy” who won Best of Breed at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show in 2006.

Adia went on to free whelp many healthy litters of 3 and 4 puppies each. She was a sturdy and healthy girl, who passed her CERF eye, OFA patella and OFA cardiac exams with flying colors. She became the mother of 9 American champions and several others who were champions overseas.

Adia passed away in 2019 at the age of 14 years old. She is behind every Pomeranian at Silhouette today, and behind many dogs all over the world. Every time I see her name in a pedigree of a dog I admire, I smile.
